About the Client The client operates in the franchise development and consulting industry, helping emerging brands expand their franchise networks and scale their operations across the United States. Their team works closely with founders and executives to support growth, operational efficiency, and franchise expansion. About the Role The client is looking for a Part-Time Bookkeeper / Accounting Assistant (20 hours per week) to support their expense reporting process. The assistant will help review and submit expense reports for executives and ensure all expenses are accurate, properly documented, and compliant with company policies. This role requires someone who is detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable following structured processes and checklists. Responsibilities:
  • Review and submit expense reports for 5 Vice Presidents
  • Manage expense reporting using SAP Concur
  • Follow checklists and SOPs when reviewing expense submissions
  • Review receipts for accuracy (dates, amounts, and expense categories)
  • Identify and separate personal vs business expenses
  • Detect duplicate or incorrect expense submissions
  • Communicate with VPs if clarification or additional information is required
  • Process expense reports every payout cycle
  • Support expense submissions for directors
  • Assist with other ad hoc administrative tasks as needed

Requirements

Required Qualifications:
  • Minimum 2 years of accounting, administrative, or bookkeeping experience
  • Basic accounting knowledge
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Strong written English communication skills
  • Ability to follow SOPs and structured checklists
  • Comfortable asking questions when clarification is needed
  • High level of confidentiality and trustworthiness
