Associate, Public Finance
Kutak Rock is a leading national law firm seeking an Associate to join their Public Finance practice in Ohio. The role involves reviewing and drafting transaction documents, managing due diligence, and ensuring compliance with legal regulations.
Responsibilities
- Review, draft and negotiate transaction documents
- Review and draft organizational and authorizing documents
- Review, draft and manage transaction due diligence
- Coordinate pre-closing and closing logistics
- Ensure that appropriate approvals are in place before transactions are executed
- Interpret laws, rulings and regulations in relevant areas of the law
- Commitment to achieving the goals of Firm clients
Skills
- Knowledge and understanding of municipal bond financing, real estate finance transactions or economic development transactions or a strong desire to learn about such practices
- Strong organizational and matter management skills
- Work effectively under pressure and to meet deadlines
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Ability to apply critical thinking and possess a high attention to detail
- Work professionally and collaboratively with partners, associates, and support staff
- Exceptional research, writing, and analytical skills

- Understanding of various business and governmental entities
- Must be currently admitted to practice in the Ohio with an active bar license in good standing or able to be admitted within the first year of employment
- Minimum of one years' experience working within a legal field, experience in public finance, government finance departments, real estate, investment banks and institutional lenders, or other providers of capital in connection with economic development transactions or tax-exempt financings preferred but not required
