Actuarial Assistant (Charlotte, NC (Hybrid) or Remote)

The Actuarial Assistant will support the valuation team on production processes for annuity products, including model validation, assumption updates, and collaboration with actuarial teams.

Responsibilities

• Analyze annuity valuation model results for attributions, sensitivities, and production results
• Coordinate and validate the impact of assumption updates on modeled results
• Support model development testing to ensure model updates are consistent with requirements
• Develop creative solutions to complex problems – identify ways to streamline and simplify the annuity modeling process to increase capacity for value-added activities
• Perform single cell audits to ensure projection models are consistent with product features
• Collaborate with other actuarial teams including pricing, valuation, and modeling to support alignment across use cases

Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or Actuarial Science
• 2+ Actuarial Exams required; Actuarial Experience preferred
• Strong analytical, problem solving, and communication skills
• Positive attitude and ability to work with others in a team environment
