Our ideal tutor has a BA/BS degree or higher in a related field. Additional consideration will be given to applicants who have experience with tutoring or teaching the position on top of academic experience. We are looking for tutors who have certifications such as CompTIA Network+, CompTIA Security+, and/or ISC2 Professional Security certifications, though other certifications may also be helpful. Competency in other Computer Science subjects, or even other academic subjects relevant to college students will also be beneficial to supplement schedule with additional sessions. This is a great position for people who desire some flexibility in their daily schedules. Tutors can fit their responsibilities around errands, graduate school courses, other part-time jobs, or family obligations. Tutors receive appointments and conduct tutoring sessions via ThinkingStorm’s system. Many of these students are in 2 or 4 year Cyber Security programs in institutions across the country, so they need tutors who are flexible and adaptable to different curriculums. Desired Time Commitment: Minimum 5-10 hours per week, though competency in additional subjects or increased demand could have you up to 20 hours per week Compensation: $18-20/hour (non-negotiable) You must have a reliable internet connection to be considered for this position.
