The position is responsible development and support of applications for internal and external customers. The role works with other development resources to create new solutions but also to support existing applications and troubleshoot issues. The role will be working with subject matter experts from the Business and IT.

• Provide subject matter expertise to AMS and other Center teams, as required.
• Contribute to product feature prioritization and technology roadmaps.

Traditional Development

• Design, build and unit test highly scalable applications.
• Provide maintenance support to applications as required supporting incident escalations.
• Identify new technologies, trends, and opportunities.

Agile Development

• Participate in sprint planning, design, coding, unit testing, sprint reviews.
• Provide basic design documents and translates into component-level designs to accelerate development. Design, develop, and distribute reusable technical components.
• Assist in developing of technical documentation; participate in test-plan development, integration and deployment.
• Define & develop project requirements, functional specifications and detailed designs of application solutions for clients.

Required Job Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science or equivalent experience
• 10+ years of Java/J2EE development using Spring Framework
• Experience with JavaScript Libraries (like jQuery), HTML, CSS
• Experience with Apache HTTP Server
• Exposure to Unix, IIS .Net is a plus
• Knowledge of ISAM (Reverse Proxy)
• Experience with the Eclipse and RAD Development Environment
• Exposure to Web Services development
• 5+ years of experience working with databases
• Ability to effectively organize and prioritize work demands as well as the ability to manage multiple assignments.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent problem solving and communication skills.

Preferred Job Qualifications:

• Exposure to Maven, Jenkins, Nexus, Veracode, Subversion
• IBM WebSphere (HCL Dig. Exp.) Portlet experience
• Experience working with MS SQL
• WebSphere Administration

The compensation range for this full-time Software Engineer role is between $94,869 and $176,186. The salary offered will vary depending on your job-related skills, education, knowledge, and experience. This role aligns with an annual incentive bonus plan.
