Key Responsibilities: As an Experienced Billing Customer Service Representative – Patient and Insurance Communication Specialist at arenaflex, you will be responsible for:

Communication Management:

• Serving as the first point of contact for call escalations, from patients via phone, email, and other internal communication platforms, providing friendly and efficient service to patients, insurance companies, and their representatives. • Relaying messages from requesters to appropriate team members or departments utilizing multiple software applications, reviewing requester concerns for escalation. • Assisting with coordinating incoming and outgoing billing requests, ensuring timely sorting, facilitating responses, and follow-ups. • Ensuring all patient information is kept confidential and secure in accordance with HIPAA regulations. • Managing a minimum of 70 accounts per day, providing exceptional customer service and resolving issues in a timely manner.

Team Collaboration and Support:

• Participating in regular team meetings via video or teleconference, staying up-to-date on departmental operations and best practices. • Demonstrating competency in the performance of job-related skills, providing excellent customer service to patients, insurance companies, and their representatives. • Utilizing and operating equipment and mechanical devices that provide for a functional, effective, and safe environment. • Adhering to policies, procedures, and guidelines relative to departmental operations, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

Essential Qualifications: • 2+ years of experience in a customer service or billing role, preferably in the healthcare industry. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with patients, insurance companies, and healthcare professionals. • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to resolve complex issues in a timely manner. • Proficiency in multiple software applications, including CRM systems, email, and other internal communication platforms. • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple accounts and priorities simultaneously. • Strong attention to detail, with a focus on accuracy and quality. Preferred Qualifications: • Experience working with HIPAA regulations and confidentiality agreements. • Familiarity with medical billing and insurance claims processing. • Certification in customer service or a related field (e.g., Certified Customer Service Representative (CCSR)). • Bilingual or multilingual skills, with the ability to communicate with patients and customers in multiple languages.
