Job Summary

We're seeking an experienced Distribution Customer Service Representative to join our team on a contract-to-hire basis. As a key point of contact for our customers, you'll be responsible for managing customer order intake, processing, and data entry, as well as handling customer price adjustments and related correspondence. Responsibilities

As a Distribution Customer Service Representative, you'll be responsible for:

  • Managing customer order intake, processing, and data entry, ensuring accurate and timely transmission of orders to the shipping department.
  • Handling customer price adjustments and related correspondence, providing clear and concise explanations to resolve customer queries.
  • Communicating and following up with customers on all matters related to their orders, ensuring a seamless and satisfying experience.
  • Updating customer files with changes in addresses, quoted prices, delivery instructions, and other relevant notes, maintaining accurate and up-to-date records.
  • Serving as the primary customer liaison for order processing, ERP system data entry, and coordination with operations and sales teams on product availability and shipment status.
  • Collaborating with the sales team to support sales activities and enhance customer satisfaction, providing valuable insights and feedback to drive business growth.
  • Ensuring timely processing of customer returns, following established procedures to minimize delays and maximize customer satisfaction.

Essential Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you'll need:

  • 2 years of experience in customer service, order processing, or a related field.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with customers and internal stakeholders.
  • Experience with ERP systems, with a strong understanding of data entry and order processing procedures.
  • A customer-first mindset, with a proactive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to delivering exceptional service.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications

While not essential, the following qualifications would be beneficial:

  • 2 years of experience in order processing or a related field.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office, with a strong understanding of data entry and administrative procedures.
  • Knowledge of customer relationship management (CRM) systems and vendor management principles.
