Job Summary

We're seeking an experienced Data Entry Specialist to join our team on a remote basis. As a key member of our data management team, you'll be responsible for accurately entering data into our computer systems, managing customer data, and ensuring the integrity of our databases. Key Responsibilities

* Data Entry: Input data from paper formats into computer files or database systems, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.

  • Customer Data Management: Type in data provided directly from customers, maintaining confidentiality and adhering to data protection protocols.
  • Spreadsheet Management: Accurately create and manage spreadsheets with large data sets, using MS Office tools such as Excel.
  • Data Verification: Compare data with source documents to verify accuracy, ensuring the integrity of our databases.
  • Data Maintenance: Update and maintain existing data as needed, ensuring that our databases remain up-to-date and accurate.
  • Data Retrieval: Retrieve data from databases or electronic files upon request, using your knowledge of database systems.
  • Data Backup: Perform regular backups to ensure data preservation, using your understanding of data management principles.
  • Paperwork Organization: Sort and organize paperwork post-data entry to prevent loss, maintaining a clean and organized workspace.

Required Skills and Qualifications

* Experience: Proven experience as a data entry clerk or in a similar role, with a strong understanding of data management principles.

  • Typing Skills: Fast typing skills, with knowledge of touch typing strongly preferred.
  • Technical Proficiency: Excellent knowledge of word processing tools and spreadsheets (MS Office Word, Excel, etc.).
  • Equipment Knowledge: Familiarity with office equipment, computer hardware, and peripheral devices.
  • Database Understanding: Basic understanding of databases, including data management principles and database systems.
  • Language Skills: Good command of English, both oral and written, with strong customer service skills.
