What We Look For In a High School Level American History Tutor

- Curriculum Awareness & Adaptive Instruction: Familiar with high school American history curricula and state standards, and common challenges such as managing extensive chronological content, analyzing primary sources, and writing document-based essays. Adapts instruction using timelines, primary source analysis activities, and structured essay frameworks to support students from general US history through honors and pre-AP levels building historical literacy.
- Effective Teaching Methods: Ability to identify concepts students commonly struggle with, explain material using multiple approaches, and adapt instruction to meet individual learning needs and styles.
