Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and customer-focused Pharmacy Customer Service Associate to join our team at arenaflex. As a key member of our pharmacy team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional patient care, providing accurate and efficient prescription services, and promoting a positive customer experience. You will work closely with our pharmacists and other team members to ensure that our patients receive the highest level of care and service.

Key Responsibilities:

* Models and delivers a distinctive and delightful customer experience, engaging customers and patients by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services.

  • Registers sales on assigned cash register, provides customers with courteous, friendly, and efficient checkout service, and recommends items for sale to customers.
  • Assists the pharmacist, under direct supervision, in the practice of pharmacy, including using pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information and process prescriptions.
  • Provides customers with accurate and efficient prescription services, including filling prescriptions, verifying medicine, and checking for possible interactions.
  • Maintains a clean and well-merchandised store environment, including counters and shelves, and performs duties as assigned by Pharmacy Manager, Staff Pharmacist, and Store Manager.
  • Reports prescription errors to pharmacist on duty and adheres to Company policies and procedures in relation to pharmacy errors and the Quality Improvement Program.
  • Handles telephone calls that do not require personal attention of the pharmacist, including those to physicians.
  • Processes manual claims for third-party program prescription services in a timely and efficient manner and performs other clerical duties as assigned by the Pharmacy Manager.
  • Assists and supports Pharmacy Department on inventory management activities, such as ordering, unpacking, checking, and storing shipment of pharmaceuticals.
  • Ensures compliance with state and local laws regarding regulated products, including alcoholic beverages and tobacco products.
  • Constructs and maintains displays, including promotional, seasonal, super structures, and sale merchandise.
  • Assists with separation of food items and product placement as specified by policies/procedures.
  • Provides customer service in the photo area, including digital passport photo service, poster print, and creative machine, and suggestive sell of promotional photo products.
  • Assumes web pick-up responsibilities and assists with exterior and interior maintenance by ensuring a clean, neat, and orderly store condition and appearance.

Essential Qualifications:

* High school diploma or equivalent required; pharmacy technician certification (PTCB) or state required certification/registration preferred.

  • Previous experience in a retail pharmacy or customer service environment preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with customers, patients, and team members.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities and situations.
  • Basic math skills and accuracy in handling cash and operating a cash register.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and stand for long periods of time.

Preferred Qualifications:

* Previous experience in a retail pharmacy or customer service environment with a strong focus on patient care and customer service.

  • PTCB certification or state required certification/registration.
  • Basic computer skills and knowledge of pharmacy systems.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
