Responsibilities

As a temporary daytime customer service representative, you'll be responsible for:

  • Managing large volumes of inbound calls in a timely and efficient manner
  • Following established communication scripts to handle various customer inquiries and concerns
  • Identifying customers' needs, clarifying information, researching, and providing solutions and/or alternatives
  • Accessing company and client resources to accurately handle calls
  • Seizing opportunities to upsell products and services when applicable
  • Demonstrating flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment
  • Maintaining punctuality and attendance at all scheduled times
  • Providing exceptional customer service, remaining positive and professional in all interactions

Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • Previous 3-6 months of customer service or customer support experience (a plus if you have call center or office background experience)
  • Basic computer skills and the ability to learn quickly
  • Strong phone and verbal communication skills, along with active listening
  • The ability to type 20-25 words per minute accurately
  • A background check that meets state and federal laws
  • A reliable internet connection and a dedicated workspace (BYOD policy applies)

Compensation, Perks, and Benefits

  • Competitive hourly rate of $14/hour, plus shift differential (extra $1/hr nights & wkds)
  • Flexible scheduling, with shifts between 8:00am-8:00 pm (EST) and rotating weekends
  • Paid training, typically 2-5 days in length from 9:00am-6:00pm (EST)
