Our Transportation Analytics team is responsible for analyzing and interpreting vast amounts of data to inform business decisions and optimize our supply chain operations.
Job Responsibilities
As a Data Analyst on our Transportation Analytics team, you will be responsible for:
- Working with large, messy, disparate datasets and performing ad-hoc analyses to inform business decisions
- Creating ETLs or scripts that pull data from multiple sources and centralize it in a single table
- Developing data visualizations to display and quantify the impact of changes and specific business challenges
- Engaging with team members and cross-functional groups to establish credibility and analyze stakeholder needs
- Partnering with Operations, Finance, and Product groups to ensure data accuracy, completeness, and latency across multiple operations and systems
- Leveraging scripting languages (Python preferred) to automate reporting tasks, such as screenshots, metrics prioritization, and outlier recognition
- Documenting your approaches and sharing your expertise with colleagues
- Mentoring junior team members and becoming a Subject Matter Expert in data analysis and transportation operations
Essential Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field, such as mathematics, statistics, or computer science
- Excellent SQL skills, with the ability to govern data from multiple tables while maintaining data integrity
- Creativity with a user experience basis to develop impactful Tableau dashboards
- Business operations fluency, with the ability to recognize and root out business problems
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work cross-functionally
- Experience with data manipulation tools, such as Knime, Alteryx, R, Tableau Prep, etc.
Preferred Qualifications
While not required, advanced experience with SQL and Tableau, as well as experience with e-commerce operations or parcel service operations, would be beneficial. Additionally, experience with Python or other scripting languages, and data manipulation tools, such as Knime, Alteryx, R, Tableau Prep, etc., would be a plus.
