HubSpot CMS Specialist (Design & Development Focus, Freelance / Long-Term)

Location: Remote Engagement: Ongoing freelance retainer Minimum commitment: 2–10 hours per week The Opportunity We’re looking for a sharp, proactive HubSpot CMS Specialist to support our team with on-brand landing pages, websites, and module development — all built within HubSpot CMS. This is not a basic admin or marketer role. This is not a “build what we tell you” role. This is a design and development ownership role for someone who understands how to: Translate designs and ideas into beautiful, conversion-ready experiences Build fast, responsive, on-brand templates using HubSpot tools and custom code Support testing, optimisation, and performance improvements across pages and layouts You’ll work directly with our internal teams and senior stakeholders to scope, build, and deliver best-in-class HubSpot assets — from landing pages to site templates and custom modules. You’ll Be Expected To: Own your work — push for quality and clarity, not just execution Work proactively — flag technical risks, performance issues, or improvements Build flexible, modular, reusable design systems inside HubSpot CMS Communicate clearly with stakeholders who rely on your expertise Maintain high standards of accessibility, SEO-readiness, and responsive design Excellent English and clear communication are essential — you'll be collaborating directly with our strategy and performance teams, interpreting briefs, and helping shape high-impact digital experiences. We invest heavily in: What You’ll Own HubSpot CMS Development & Design Build and maintain landing pages, site templates, and reusable modules Use HubL, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript to customise themes and improve performance Translate Figma files and brand guidelines into live, production-ready assets Ensure pages are fully responsive, accessible, and SEO optimised Maintain consistency across layouts, CTAs, and components What We’re Looking For Must-haves Proven experience designing and developing websites and landing pages in HubSpot CMS Strong front-end skills: HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and HubL Experience using Figma to interpret design files accurately Clear, fluent English — both written and verbal Detail-oriented, proactive, and accountable Ability to manage and communicate timelines, blockers, and priorities clearly Nice-to-haves Familiarity with HubSpot Smart Content and module logic Understanding of basic CRO/UX principles Comfort working inside HubSpot Design Manager and/or CLI Experience developing flexible design systems or component libraries Engagement & Time Commitment Minimum commitment: 2–10 hours per week Long-term freelance / retained engagement Hours may increase based on fit, reliability, and demand Rates based on experience, quality, and responsiveness — not just code output Please Include in Your Application Your hourly rate and preferred weekly hour range A few examples of HubSpot CMS projects you’ve built A brief summary of your approach to building fast, flexible HubSpot templates (Optional) A 2-minute video introduction (bonus points if you can show your personality and clarity) Our Hiring Process Shortlist based on profile, experience, and communication 10-minute intro call (to check fit, mindset, and responsiveness) Short paid test project Longer-term agreement if we’re aligned We’re not looking for the cheapest developer.
