Job Summary

We're seeking an experienced Home-Based Data Entry Specialist to join our team on an ongoing basis. As a key member of our remote workforce, you'll be responsible for entering data into our databases, generating reports, and analyzing trends to inform business decisions. If you're a motivated self-starter with excellent typing skills and a keen eye for detail, we'd love to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities

As a Home-Based Data Entry Specialist, your primary duties will include:

  • Entering data into multiple databases from current and new client applications, including QuickBooks, Excel, Word, and QuickBooks
  • Maintaining and updating databases and documents, and maintaining client records
  • Providing concise information to clients and project team members
  • Operating office equipment, including computers and software
  • Ensuring that projects remain on schedule and within budget
  • Generating reports on data to which the entry relates
  • Generating reports summarizing data or results
  • Analyzing data, identifying trends, and generating reports
  • Writing a wide variety of reports, letters, memos, and correspondence
  • Compiling, updating, and maintaining information in databases
  • Researching current developments in areas of expertise
  • Reviewing customer and employee files, resolving problems
  • Overseeing the daily operations of department

Requirements and Skills

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • Highly motivated self-starter with excellent typing skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Knowledge of basic computer functions (word processing, email, internet, etc.)
  • Experience with web-based data entry
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Experience with database management systems, including QuickBooks and Excel

Essential Qualifications

* High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred

  • 2+ years of experience in data entry or a related field
  • Strong understanding of database management systems and data analysis
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines

Preferred Qualifications

* Experience working in a healthcare or medical billing environment

  • Knowledge of medical terminology and coding systems
  • Experience with electronic health records (EHRs) and practice management systems
  • Certification in medical billing or coding (e.g., CPC, CMC)
