About the Role

This Customer Service Representative position is a remote opportunity that does not require regular in-office presence, offering flexibility and work-life balance. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for supporting service delivery by utilizing your knowledge of our products and processes, as well as conducting basic analysis to process and support service-related tasks. You will work under limited supervision, providing guidance to entry-level associates or peers, and contributing to the continuous improvement of our services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Answer all inquiries in a professional and courteous manner, ensuring that customers feel valued and supported.
  • Maintain a comprehensive understanding of the requirements relating to retirement plan participants, including distribution, rollover, and consolidation options.
  • Educate retirement plan participants on available options and assist them throughout each process, ensuring a smooth and informed experience.
  • Assist participants in accessing their accounts online and resolving any issues that may arise, providing timely and effective solutions.
  • Participate in participant education regarding online functionality, including enrollment, transfers, loans, and withdrawals, to empower them with the knowledge they need.
  • Identify process improvement opportunities to increase efficiency and effectiveness while maintaining an exceptional level of service, contributing to the growth and success of our organization.
  • Protect assets by adhering to all applicable regulations, policies, and procedures, ensuring compliance and risk management.
  • Produce professional correspondence and demonstrate professional verbal communication and customer service skills, reflecting the high standards of arenaflex.
  • Collaborate with the Client Service and Admin Service teams to provide assistance as volumes dictate, fostering a spirit of teamwork and cooperation.
  • Investigate and resolve participant issues, sharing results with appropriate parties and maintaining confidentiality to protect participants and ensure compliance with policies and procedures.

Essential and Preferred Qualifications

To excel in this role, you should have a High School Diploma or GED, with a college degree preferred. A minimum of 1-2 years of customer service experience and previous contact center experience are required, with retirement plans experience being highly desirable. Special skills or knowledge include proficient written and oral communication skills, the ability to manage multiple priorities within deadlines, and a strong customer focus with excellent interpersonal skills.

Preferred qualifications include knowledge of ERISA, IRS/DOL regulations, and qualified plan administration, as well as proficiency with Microsoft Office products. Possessing ASPPA exams or equivalents and knowledge of OMNI, Relius, and recordkeeping systems are also advantageous. Being bilingual in Spanish and English is preferred, and some overtime may be required, including working flexible hours such as 9-6 pm EST or 8-6 pm EST with a 30-minute lunch break.
