Job Summary

As a Data Entry Technician with arenaflex, you'll play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of our customs documentation. You'll work closely with our team to transcribe customs declaration information from documents into our operating system, verify compliance with regulations, and provide exceptional customer service to both internal and external stakeholders. This is a part-time, remote position that requires 15-20 hours of work per week, with flexible hours between Monday and Friday, 8am-5pm.

Key Responsibilities

* Ensure accurate and timely data entry into our operating system

  • Understand and identify customs documentation, including customs declarations and other relevant documents
  • Transpose customs declaration information from documents into the customs entry system to allow for the build of a valid customs declaration
  • Verify documents received for Import customs purposes are compliant and correct
  • Provide excellent customer service, building and maintaining strong relationships both internally and externally
  • Ensure compliance at all times to regulations and industry standards
  • Daily execution of workflow and department metrics, including tracking and reporting on key performance indicators

Qualifications

* Associates or Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field, such as supply chain, logistics, or business administration

  • Effective interpersonal skills, including proven abilities to listen, comprehend, and communicate clearly and concisely both verbally and in writing
  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficient computer skills, including solid data entry with a high accuracy rate, email, internet, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Growth mindset, with a desire to learn and develop your skills in a dynamic and rapidly evolving industry
  • Desire for a career in supply chain and logistics, with a passion for staying up-to-date on industry trends and best practices

Essential Skills and Competencies

* Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Ability to work independently in a remote capacity, with minimal supervision
  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Familiarity with customs documentation and regulations, including customs declarations and other relevant documents

Preferred Qualifications

* Experience in a customs brokerage or logistics environment

  • Familiarity with customs entry systems and software
  • Certification in a relevant field, such as customs brokerage or logistics
  • Experience working in a team-oriented environment, with a focus on collaboration and communication
