Job Summary
As a Remote Healthcare Billing and Customer Service Representative, you'll work as an extended business office representative on behalf of our clients, providing exceptional customer service and support to patients and their families. You'll help patients understand their medical bills, answer questions, and resolve account balances. If you're a caring and talented individual with excellent communication skills, we want to talk to you!
Key Responsibilities:
* Use empathy and fantastic listening, verbal, and written communication skills to help patients and their families understand confusing medical bills
- Provide outstanding customer service and collaborate with patients over the phone on affordable payment plans and taking payments by phone
- Use your computer proficiency, organization, and attention to detail to accurately document all calls and follow-ups in our software systems throughout each day
- Support your fellow team members with consistent attendance, excellent work ethic, and caring team focus
- Continuously improve with supportive coaching/feedback from your manager and team leads and ongoing training
Essential Qualifications:
* High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field preferred
- 1-2 years of experience in customer service, healthcare, or a related field
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
- Proficiency in computer software applications, including Microsoft Office and Google Suite
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Preferred Qualifications:
* Experience in healthcare billing or customer service
- Familiarity with medical terminology and coding
- Certification in customer service or a related field
- Bilingual or multilingual skills
