The Role
As a Full Stack Software Engineer on our web and cloud application development team, you'll be responsible for designing, building, and deploying scalable, secure, and high-performance applications that meet the needs of our business and customers. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams, including product management, design, and QA, to ensure that our applications are user-centered, efficient, and meet the highest standards of quality.
Key Responsibilities
• Collaborate with development teams and other stakeholders to design and implement innovative solutions that meet business requirements
- Develop and maintain high-quality, scalable, and secure web and cloud applications using a range of technologies, including AWS, Java, Python, and JavaScript
- Work with data engineers and scientists to design and implement data pipelines, data warehouses, and data lakes
- Participate in code reviews, testing, and deployment processes to ensure that our applications are reliable, efficient, and meet the highest standards of quality
- Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies, trends, and best practices in software development and cloud computing
- Mentor and guide junior engineers to help them grow and develop their skills
Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
- 8+ years of experience in software development, with a focus on web and cloud applications
- 4+ years of experience with AWS, including EC2, S3, IAM, Lambda, and other core services
- 2+ years of experience with Java, Python, or JavaScript, and a strong understanding of object-oriented programming principles
- Experience with data engineering, data science, and data analytics, including data pipelines, data warehouses, and data lakes
- Strong understanding of software development methodologies, including Agile and DevOps
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities and deadlines
Nice to Have
• AWS Certification, including Solutions Architect or DevOps Engineer
- Experience with data quality tools, such as Great Expectations or Deequ
- Strong understanding of Linux or Windows operating systems
- Experience with CI/CD tools, such as Jenkins or GitLab
- Familiarity with cloud-native applications and serverless computing
