Experienced Manager State & Higher Education – Strategic Account Management and Business Development at arenaflex

As a key member of our Business Department, the Manager State & Higher Education will play a vital role in driving the growth and success of our State, Local, and Higher Education (SLED) managed travel accounts. Job Summary:

As a Manager State & Higher Education at arenaflex, you'll be responsible for executing the strategic direction of our SLED managed travel accounts. You'll work closely with our Field Government Account Managers and designated portfolio management to increase sales, establish formal partnerships, and broaden awareness of our corporate travel programs and services. Key Responsibilities:

* Develop and execute strategic plans to increase sales and revenue growth in SLED managed travel accounts

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including Field Government Account Managers and designated portfolio management
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including establishing formal partnerships and expanding our corporate travel programs and services
  • Coach and professionally develop Field Government Account Managers and designated portfolio management to achieve sales and revenue growth goals
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement business strategies and initiatives
  • Analyze market trends and competitor activity to inform business decisions and drive growth
  • Develop and manage budgets and forecasts to ensure financial performance and growth
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities, including partnerships and collaborations
  • Develop and implement sales strategies and tactics to achieve revenue growth goals
  • Provide regular reporting and updates to senior leadership on sales performance and business growth

Essential Qualifications:

* 5+ years of experience in business development, sales, or account management, preferably in the travel or hospitality industry

  • Proven track record of success in driving sales and revenue growth in SLED managed travel accounts
  • Strong relationships with key stakeholders, including Field Government Account Managers and designated portfolio management
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to analyze market trends and competitor activity to inform business decisions and drive growth
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to develop and implement data-driven solutions
  • Experience with budgeting and forecasting, with the ability to manage financial performance and growth
  • Strong leadership and coaching skills, with the ability to develop and professionally develop Field Government Account Managers and designated portfolio management

Preferred Qualifications:

* Experience working in a remote or virtual environment

  • Familiarity with arenaflex's products and services, including our corporate travel programs and services
  • Experience working with SLED managed travel accounts, including State, Local, and Higher Education institutions
  • Strong knowledge of the travel and hospitality industry, including market trends and competitor activity
  • Experience with sales and revenue growth strategies, including partnerships and collaborations
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to develop and implement business strategies and initiatives
