[Remote] Integrations Engineer

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. GoTab is a financial technology company on a mission to revolutionize the guest experience across restaurants and entertainment venues. As an Integrations Engineer, you will drive revenue and partner success by architecting integrations on GoTab's open APIs and serving as a technical point of contact for external teams.

Responsibilities

• Design and guide real partner integrations: map requirements to GoTab API endpoints, auth models, webhooks, and data flows and see them through from sandbox to production
• Build the stuff partners rely on: Postman collections, API specs, sample apps (Node/TypeScript), and reference webhooks that demonstrate best practices
• Explain the tricky bits clearly: rate limits, idempotency, retries, pagination, and schema nuances so devs leave confident instead of confused
• Debug like a pro across boundaries: inspect logs/traces, reproduce payloads, and help isolate issues in partner code, our SDKs, or APIs

Skills

• A CS degree or equivalent knowledge you earned building cool things
• Understanding of async JavaScript (ES6+), Node.js, HTML5, CSS3
• Solid grasp of REST and GraphQL APIs
• Excellent communication skills (making complicated concepts simple)
• Curiosity, hustle, and a love for learning
• Experience with MarkoJS (our go-to framework)
• PostgreSQL prowess
• Linux command-line confidence
• Hospitality/restaurant industry experience (you'll speak our customers' language!)
