[Remote] Assistant Buyer - US

As an Assistant Buyer, you will support the Marketplace Buyer in managing vendor relationships, conducting market analysis, and maintaining the product catalog to ensure operational excellence.
Responsibilities
- Act as a primary point of contact for vendor partners, assisting with onboarding, performance tracking, and the collection of updated product information
- Support the Buyer in preparing data and collateral for Business Reviews, helping to identify opportunities for margin improvement or SKU expansion
- Collaborate with vendors to ensure product photography and descriptions meet Sendoso’s editorial standards for a premium customer experience
- Conduct regular market research to identify emerging product categories and competitive white spaces
- Analyze sales data and customer feedback to help the Buyer determine which items to feature in seasonal campaigns and which to sunset
- Assist in reviewing vendor catalogs to suggest "evergreen" additions that align with current customer demand shifts
- Own the end-to-end process for product onboarding, SKU updates, and pricing adjustments within the Marketplace platform
- Work closely with Customer Success and Operations to resolve product-specific inquiries and support custom "Branded Marketplace" requests
- Identify opportunities for operational efficiency and collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement more effective sourcing workflows
Skills
- 1-3 years of experience in retail buying, e-commerce merchandising, or sourcing
- Comfortable using Excel/Google Sheets and similar reporting tools to find the 'story' in the data
- Ability to manage multiple workflows and competing priorities simultaneously
- You thrive in a fast-paced environment and are comfortable 'popping in' to support the team whenever unexpected needs arise
- A passion for learning the business of gifting and a desire to grow your career within merchandising
