About the Role

As a Data Entry Clerk at arenaflex, you'll be responsible for accurately and efficiently transferring data from paper formats to our computer database systems. You'll work closely with our data management team to ensure that all data is up-to-date, accurate, and easily accessible. Your attention to detail, strong typing skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office tools will be essential in meeting the demands of this role.

Responsibilities

- Data Entry: Transfer data from paper formats to computer files or database systems using keyboards, data recorders, or optical scanners. - Customer Data: Enter data provided directly by customers, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail. - Spreadsheet Creation: Create complex spreadsheets with large numbers of figures without errors, utilizing your knowledge of Microsoft Excel. - Data Verification: Verify data by comparing it with source documents, ensuring the highest level of accuracy. - Data Updates: Update existing data in a timely and efficient manner. - Data Retrieval: Retrieve data from the database or electronic files as requested by team members. - Data Preservation: Perform regular backups to ensure data preservation and prevent loss. - Paperwork Organization: Sort and organize paperwork after data entry to maintain a clutter-free workspace and prevent data loss.

Requirements

- Experience: Demonstrated experience as a data entry clerk, with a proven track record of accuracy and efficiency. - Typing Ability: Fast typing ability, with knowledge of the touch typing system preferred. - Microsoft Office: Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office tools, including Word, Excel, and other applications. - Office Equipment: Working knowledge of office equipment and computer hardware and peripheral devices. - Databases: Basic knowledge of databases and data management principles. - Communication: Good command of English, both oral and written, and excellent customer service skills. - Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain high levels of accuracy. - Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
