[Remote] Business Development Representative

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Polaron Energy is a leading solar energy company committed to transforming access to clean energy solutions. They are seeking a highly motivated Business Development Representative to generate new business opportunities and nurture leads for their Solar Specialist Sales Team.

Responsibilities

• Lead Generation & Prospecting: Leverage inbound marketing, outbound prospecting (LinkedIn, cold emailing, calls), social media, and networking to identify potential leads across Canada
• Cold Outreach: Initiate contact with potential leads via emails, calls, and social media messages to spark initial interest and start the conversation
• Lead Qualification: Qualify leads based on predefined criteria such as energy consumption, budget, decision-making authority, and timeline to ensure they are a good fit for our services
• Booking Meetings: Once a lead is qualified, schedule a meeting with one of our Solar Specialists, who will continue the sales process and close the deal
• Industry-Based Segmentation: Categorize and focus on leads from specific industries (e.g., healthcare, finance, technology) to maximize impact and efficiency
• Nurturing Relationships: For leads that aren’t immediately ready to buy, you’ll nurture ongoing relationships, providing relevant updates and information until they are ready to engage in a sales conversation

Skills

• Previous experience in business development, sales, or lead generation
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence potential clients via phone, email, and social media
• Self-starter with the ability to work independently in a remote setting
• Comfort with cold calling and outreach, with a proven ability to handle rejection professionally
• A passion for renewable energy and the solar industry
• Proficiency in CRM tools (Salesforce, HubSpot, etc.) and LinkedIn Sales Navigator
