[Remote] Quality Assurance Engineer

The role involves performing manual and automated testing, defect identification, and collaboration with software engineers to ensure high-quality software products.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and automated scripts for new and existing software products
• Perform functional, regression, performance, and security testing to identify bugs or defects, ensuring products meet security standards and comply with industry regulations
• Identify , document, and meticulously track software defects, providing clear and reproducible steps for developers
• Collaborate closely with software engineers to understand system requirements and contribute feedback on testability and design
• Maintain and run basic automation scripts utilizing established frameworks

Skills

• US Citizen or ability to work on FAR subpart 25.4 work
• Experience in software development or software quality assurance
• Thorough understanding of QA processes and methodologies
• Experience with black box and white box testing techniques
• Basic proficiency with databases and database query languages
• Foundational knowledge of cybersecurity principles and security testing methodologies
• Soft skills including problem solving, communication, attention to detail, and critical thinking
