CRA Mortgage Loan Officer- New Jersey

The CRA Mortgage Loan Officer will establish relationships with community organizations and Realtors to generate lending opportunities while ensuring compliance with the Community Reinvestment Act.

Responsibilities

• Sell and originate residential mortgage loans to a predetermined sales goal focused in CRA assessment area needs
• Identify and meet with prospects, explain various mortgage products available, determine best alternatives together with prospects and finalize sales
• Work with community based organizations and municipalities to collect and submit subordinate financing (down payment assistance programs) for consideration in originating mortgages to low-moderated income borrowers

Skills

• Must have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
• Must have a minimum one year of experience marketing and originating CRA mortgage loans and loan products
• Must maintain an active registration status with NMLS (Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System and Registry)
• Must have effective proven effective sales skills
• Must have excellent time management skills
• Must be self-motivated and ability to work with minimal to no supervision
• Must be willing and able to travel to assigned branch locations, customers' homes and businesses, and perform presentations when requested
• Must have excellent written and oral communication skills
• Must have superior customer service skills
• Must have proficiency using Microsoft applications such as Word, Outlook, and Excel
• Proficiency with industry standard Mortgage origination software programs is strongly preferred
