2026 Masters Software Engineering Intern/Co-op
AMD is a leading company focused on building innovative products that enhance next-generation computing experiences. They are seeking a highly motivated Software Engineering intern or co-op to work closely with software engineers, gaining hands-on experience in software application development, debugging methodologies, and automation processes.
Responsibilities
- We will assign you responsibilities in which you will work closely with our software engineers to build and maintain our software applications
- We will provide training on the full software creation process, from design and built to testing and deployment
- We will encourage you to build scripts that automate some of our software development process
- We will help you learn debugging methodologies to investigate the root cause of software issues
- In certain projects we may have your involvement in crafting technical/functional documents and reports as needed
Skills
- Currently enrolled in a US based University in a Masters degree program majoring in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or related discipline
- Knowledge / experience with software engineering concepts, principles, and theories
- Knowledge / experience with C/C++ programming and Scripting language like Python, Windows PowerShell, Linux shell script, Perl, Java, Javascript, UML
- Knowledge / experience with Operating systems UNIX/Linux OS
- Knowledge / experience with Databases, MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB
- Knowledge / experience with Cloud computing platforms, Azure
- Knowledge / experience with Web development frameworks, Django, Rails, Spring Boot
- Knowledge / experience with Mark up languages like HTML, XML, XSL
- Knowledge / experience with Defect tracking, testing, debugging
- Knowledge / experience with Git, Github, Perforce
- Knowledge / experience with Security technologies, OAuth, SSL, or TLS
- Knowledge / experience with PC / CPU architecture, Embedded systems, microcontroller
