Job Summary
We're seeking an experienced Online Chat Specialist to join our team as an entry-level customer support representative. As an Online Chat Specialist, you'll be responsible for engaging with customers through live chat, responding to their queries, and providing exceptional customer service in real-time. You'll be working closely with our Online Chat Manager to ensure that our customers receive prompt and accurate assistance.
Responsibilities
As an Online Chat Specialist, you'll be responsible for:
- Answering incoming customer live chats regarding website navigation issues, service questions, and general client concerns
- Evaluating customer interactions and escalating issues to the Online Chat Manager when necessary
- Creating relationships with new customers to better understand and achieve their needs
- Responding to customer questions, inquiries, requests, and problems accurately, concisely, and appropriately
- Promoting interest in client products and services
- Consistently achieving established standards of the position
- Continually portraying and projecting a positive and professional image
- Providing administrative support to the customer service team
- May assist with overflow work and other duties as needed
Key Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you'll need to possess the following skills and qualifications:
- Strong work ethic with the ability to work well both independently and within the context of a larger team-oriented environment
- PC keyboarding and internet experience
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, including written and verbal
- Upbeat, positive attitude and professional demeanor
- Articulate and well-accustomed to a client-facing role
- Ability to compose professional emails (a plus)
- Proficient written and verbal communication skills in English
- Basic technical skills (able to navigate through smartphone and computer applications)
- Upbeat, positive, kind, and empathetic personality
