ATTORNEY III

State Compensation Insurance Fund is seeking a motivated Attorney III to join their Sacramento Legal office. The role involves handling, defending, litigating, and resolving workers’ compensation cases, while collaborating with clients and drafting legal documents.

Responsibilities

• Collaborating closely with internal and external clients
• Drafting compelling pleadings, correspondences, and communications
• Conducting thorough discovery
• Skillfully negotiating and drafting settlements
• Making confident court appearances, including trials

Skills

• Licensed to practice law in California
• Newly admitted attorneys are highly encouraged to apply
• Candidates must reside in California to be eligible for this appointment
• The position(s) require(s) a Background Investigation be cleared prior to being hired
• Completed applications and all required documents must be received or postmarked by the Final Filing Date in order to be considered
