Associate, Enterprise Financial Planning and Analysis

Canada Life is a leading insurer serving the financial security needs of over 13 million people across Canada. They are seeking a detail-oriented Associate in Enterprise Financial Planning and Analysis to support financial planning, forecasting, and reporting processes that drive strategic decision-making across the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in preparing the annual 5-year financial plan and quarterly forecasts
  • Analyze variances between actuals and forecasts, providing actionable insights
  • Assist in the design and enhancement of the Company’s Performance Management approach
  • Provide analysis on key metrics against targets senior leadership
  • Develop and maintain quarterly financial reports for senior leadership
  • Perform ad hoc analysis to support business initiatives and strategic projects
  • Build and maintain financial models to evaluate performance and scenario planning
  • Ensure accuracy and integrity of data across systems and reports
  • Partner with business units to understand drivers of financial performance
  • Communicate findings clearly to both finance and non-finance stakeholders

Skills

  • University degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field
  • Professional designation (CPA, CFA) or working toward one is an asset
  • Experience in financial analysis, planning, or reporting (experience in insurance or wealth management preferred is an asset)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
  • Proficiency in financial modeling and forecasting tools; advanced Excel skills required
  • Ability to communicate effectively and build relationships across multiple stakeholders
