Key Responsibilities

As a Remote Medical Assistant | Virtual Healthcare Support Specialist, your key responsibilities will include:

• Preparing and organizing medical records and charts for review by physicians, ensuring accuracy and compliance with medical record requirements.
• Updating patient history, physical exam details, and additional pertinent health information in a timely and efficient manner.
• Dispatching completed documentation to physicians for review and approval, following established facility protocols.
• Monitoring laboratory results and screening procedure timelines to ensure timely follow-up actions and maintain accurate records.
• Complying with healthcare facility policies, including HIPAA and Joint Commission standards, to ensure confidentiality and data security.
• Assisting with clerical tasks to enhance provider productivity and clinic efficiency, such as scheduling appointments and managing patient communications.
• Applying critical thinking skills to assess and ensure the quality of documentation, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes as needed.

• Prior experience in customer service or healthcare-related roles, with a strong understanding of medical terminology and procedures.

• Comfortable working remotely with the following equipment:
