2026 Summer Intern – Software Engineer, ADAS Core Software Team
General Motors is seeking a Summer Intern for their ADAS Core Software Team, which plays a pivotal role in the software development of AV/ADAS systems. The intern will work on architecting, designing, implementing, integrating, and testing embedded software solutions for ADAS systems.
Responsibilities
- Architect, design, implement, integrate and test robust embedded software solutions for ADAS systems. This includes the following
- Write and maintain code in C, C++ or Kotlin/Java
- Analyze and improve reliability and efficiency
- Create and maintain technical documentation
- Perform unit testing, integration testing, and system testing
Skills
- Currently enrolled in a full-time, degree-seeking program and in the process of obtaining a Bachelors or Master's degree in computer science or a related field
- Able to work fulltime, 40 hours per week
- Embedded software experience/knowledge
- Software Product Line experience/knowledge
- Matlab/Simulink experience/knowledge
- C or Kotlin/Java software skills
- Intent to return to degree-program after the completion of the internship
- Graduating between December 2026 and June 2027
