What You'll Be Doing

As a Member/Customer Services Advocate, you'll be responsible for:

  • Providing exceptional service: Deliver outstanding experiences to every caller, building trust and creating sustainable relationships through open and interactive communication
  • Applying problem-solving and critical thinking skills: Research and communicate solutions in a variety of situations, utilizing available resources to provide accurate information and ensure empathetic resolution
  • Handling customer concerns: Effectively handle customer concerns by utilizing available resources to provide accurate information and ensure empathetic resolution, while keeping records of all interactions and changes
  • Confidentially handling policy owner information: Ensure compliance and communication standards are met, handling sensitive information with discretion and care
  • Collaborating with internal teams: Work with internal teams to ensure thorough and timely resolutions for all members

Required Experience

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

Minimum 2 years experience

in a customer service-related position, with a high value placed on the customer/member experience; insurance/call center experience preferred

  • Demonstrated basic mathematical aptitude: Ability to perform addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division with accuracy
  • Technical aptitude: Experience navigating and operating multiple computer applications and telephone technologies desired
  • Basic understanding and knowledge of life insurance company operations, policies, and procedures: Familiarity with various insurance products preferred
  • Completion of insurance industry or LOMA coursework: Preferred but not required
  • High School Diploma: Required; some college-level coursework preferred
  • Internet requirements: Minimum speed of 25MB download and 5MB upload, with the ability to support a VPN
