Job Summary

We are seeking an Experienced Customer Service Department Support Specialist to join our team on a 5-month contract basis. As a key member of our support team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to our healthcare payor client, handling telephone and written inquiries, and making decisions in a prompt, accurate, and objective manner. Responsibilities

As an Experienced Customer Service Department Support Specialist, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Researching and initiating telephone and written inquiries in a prompt, accurate, and objective manner
  • Handling customer inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner
  • Making decisions and responding quickly to questions, while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Data entry and/or typing experience, with the ability to accurately and efficiently enter data into our systems
  • Interacting with customers, colleagues, and management in a professional and courteous manner
  • Maintaining confidentiality and adhering to all company policies and procedures

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following qualifications and skills:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 1 year of customer service experience, preferably in a call center or telemarketing environment
  • Experience in telephone and email outreach, making decisions, and responding quickly to questions
  • Data entry and/or typing experience, with a strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Interpersonal, analytical, organizational, and independent decision-making skills
  • Clear and concise verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft suite (Excel and Word)

Preferred Qualifications

While not required, we prefer candidates with:

  • 6 months of data entry experience in an office environment
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and deadlines
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to think critically and make sound decisions
