Responsibilities

As a Customer Travel Representative at blithequark, you'll have the opportunity to work with a diverse range of clients, each with their own unique travel needs and preferences. Your primary goal will be to make every vacation stress-free and enjoyable for our clients, and you'll be responsible for:

  • Researching various destinations and travel options to provide expert recommendations and advice
  • Diagnosing client specifications and suggesting suitable travel packages and services
  • Organizing travel from beginning to end, including booking flights, hotels, and activities
  • Supplying travelers with pertinent information and useful travel materials
  • Collecting deposits and managing client payments
  • Using promotional techniques and preparing promotional material to sell itineraries and tour packages
  • Handling unforeseen issues and determining eligibility for credits/refunds
  • Maintaining relationships with key vendors and partners
  • Keeping financial statements and documents up-to-date
  • Seeking help and guidance when needed

Essential Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • Proficiency in English; multilingualism is a plus
  • Exemplary sales skills and a customer-centric approach
  • Well-versed in various areas of travel, including domestic, international, business, holidays, groups, and individual travel
  • Ability to present, persuade, and communicate effectively
  • Demonstrated ability to handle crises and unexpected situations
  • Self-motivation, a positive attitude, and a willingness to learn and adapt
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Preferred Qualifications

While not required, the following qualifications would be beneficial:

  • Experience in the travel industry or customer service
  • Knowledge of travel software and technology
  • Familiarity with destination management systems
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
