Job Description
Location: Philadelphia PA - Remote Work Arrangement: FTE, W2 Hourly, or 1099 Contract Role Work Authorization: EAD/OPT, GC & USCIT / OPT/EAD Core Responsibilities
- Develop and test ETL components to high standards of quality and performance.
- Perform design/code/test reviews for ETL components.
- Assist with planning and execute releases of ETL components into production.
- Develop or enhance Pentaho plugins (Java) as needed.
- Provide operational support for the analytics infrastructure.
- Research, identify and recommend technical and operational improvements resulting in improved reliability and/or efficiencies in maintaining and/or developing the application.
- Evaluate and advise on technical aspects of open work requests in the product backlog with the project lead.
Education and Experience
- 8 years+ experience with ETL, SQL, Java and Unix/Linux a must
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related field. Or equivalent work experience.
- 8 or more years of experience with ETL Development
- 8 years+ of IT work experience in business intelligence tools and systems.
- Extensive experience with one or more ETL Administration platforms (Informatica/Snaplogic/Pentaho/Talend/Stich/Alooma)
- Experience with data warehouse concepts/architecture in high volume, real-time transactions and batch ETL jobs
- Strong Perl programming skills, PERL DBI module & multithreaded
- Strong Oracle SQL programming skills
- Working knowledge of Relational Database Management Systems (RDBMS) and data warehouse front-end tools
- Extensive knowledge of data warehouse and data mart concepts
- Experience with full SDLC and Agile development methodology
- C, Java, Python, any Big Data tool experience a big plus
- Experience with information security and access control protocols
- Experience in Debugging/ QA Testing
