Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Custom Circuits Design Engineer to join our digital team, where you will play a crucial role in designing and developing advanced custom digital megacells, including SRAM memories, on-chip sensors, and ML accelerators. Key Responsibilities

• Design custom circuits to improve chip power efficiency, working closely with the power team, PD, and designers to define specifications and requirements
• Perform design, analysis, modeling/simulation, circuit-level specifications, schematic capture, spice simulation/edge check across PVT, statistical design, functional verification, and silicon bring-up
• Collaborate with the layout team to complete the design and ensure design quality, driving circuit processes to achieve the highest design quality metrics
• Conduct investigations during silicon debug, manufacturing, and analyzing data, using scripting to support efficient handling of ATE data
• Familiarity with industry-standard circuit and design tools, as well as scripting languages (Python/Perl or others) and CAD automation tools

Essential Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you should have:

• A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as Electrical Engineering or Computer Science
• At least 3 years of relevant industry experience in custom circuit design, with a focus on low voltage/low power custom circuits
• Experience in one or more of the following areas: AI accelerators, SRAM circuits, non-volatile memories, weak/moderate inversion circuits, super low power amplifiers, DC/DC converters, digital on-chip sensors, fast timing, and time-to-digital converters (TDCs)
• A deep understanding of deep submicron device physics, leakage mechanisms, and technology interactions with device behavior
• Strong comprehension of device integration, device noise sources (1/f, thermal), external noise sources (supply, jitter), and their impact on high-precision circuits

Preferred Qualifications

While not required, the following skills and experiences are highly desirable:

• Experience with circuit design and simulation tools, such as Cadence or Synopsys
• Familiarity with scripting languages, such as Python or Perl, and CAD automation tools
• Knowledge of industry-standard circuit and design tools, such as SPICE or Verilog
• Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with a strong ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
