Our Specialty Mail Order Pharmacy team is at the forefront of this mission, working tirelessly to ensure that patients receive the life-saving medications they need in a timely and efficient manner. As a Customer Service Representative, you'll play a critical role in delivering exceptional customer service to patients, insurance companies, and healthcare providers. You'll be responsible for handling new and reorder medication requests, verifying and renewing benefits, and assisting patients with deciphering and entering new or reorder medications into our pharmacy data system. You'll also be responsible for collecting and processing copay sums, obtaining approvals, and collaborating with internal teams to resolve and process orders that have issues or clinical concerns.

Key Responsibilities:

* Provide exceptional customer service to patients, insurance companies, and healthcare providers via phone

  • Handle new and reorder medication requests, verifying and renewing benefits as needed
  • Assist patients with deciphering and entering new or reorder medications into our pharmacy data system
  • Collect and process copay sums, obtaining approvals as necessary
  • Collaborate with internal teams to resolve and process orders that have issues or clinical concerns
  • Work with insurance companies, healthcare providers, and internal teams to ensure timely and efficient processing of orders
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of patient interactions and order processing

Essential Qualifications:

* Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution

  • One year of experience in a customer service role, handling and resolving a high volume of complex customer needs via phone
  • One year of experience working with Windows-based applications, including Windows, Microsoft Office, web navigation, and email applications
  • One year of PC keyboarding experience, skills, and proficiency

Preferred Qualifications:

* Healthcare work experience and knowledge of benefits, insurance, medications, and clinical terminology

  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and deadlines

* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with patients, insurance companies, and healthcare providers

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to resolve complex customer issues
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a focus on collaboration and communication
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to maintain accurate and up-to-date records
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and deadlines
