Job Overview

The successful candidate will be part of the Data Engineering team, responsible for partnering with various stakeholders to develop and maintain products for the Media business. The role will involve a range of data engineering activities, including maintaining and improving data acquisition processes, data validation processes, ETL/ELT data pipelines, and overall process alerting strategies. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data engineering, with experience in ELT/ETL data pipeline development and support, as well as proficiency in Python and SQL.

Key Responsibilities

• Gather data requirements and create source-to-target mappings
• Develop and review data validation scripts and data pipelines
• Design and execute database schema/tables/views and deliver datasets as input to science models and representations
• Monitor and optimize ETL/ELT data pipelines
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize project requirements
• Develop and maintain automated workflow schedulers
• Ensure data quality and integrity by implementing data validation and testing procedures

Essential Qualifications

To be considered for this role, candidates must have:

• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field
• 2+ years of experience in ELT/ETL data pipeline development and support
• Proven expertise in Python and SQL (preferably with Snowflake)
• Experience with developing in a multi-environment (Dev, QA, Prod, etc.) and DEVOP practices for code management/development
• Strong understanding of relational database design and functionality

Preferred Qualifications

Candidates with the following skills and experience will be highly considered:

• Experience working with large datasets and big data technologies, preferably cloud-based, such as Snowflake, Databricks, or similar
• Proficiency in cloud architecture and product offerings, preferably AWS
