The Tax Accountant will assist in preparing and reviewing individual and business tax returns, performing tax research, and supporting compliance and reporting functions. This role is ideal for someone with internship experience or 1–3 years in public accounting tax (not just corporate tax), who is passionate about developing their technical tax skills and growing with a collaborative team.

• Prepare and assist in reviewing individual, corporate, and partnership tax returns.

• Support tax planning and compliance for a variety of clients.

• Conduct basic tax research and stay current with relevant federal and state regulations.

• Maintain organized and accurate workpapers and documentation.

• Communicate effectively with clients and internal team members to ensure timely and accurate deliverables.

• Contribute to process improvements and help maintain firm-wide best practices.

• 1–3 years of experience in public accounting tax (internship or full-time).

• Strong understanding of basic federal and state tax principles.

• Proficiency in tax preparation software, Excel, and general accounting systems.

• Excellent attention to detail, organization, and time management.

• Effective written and verbal communication skills.

• Bachelor’s degree not required; progress toward or completion of a degree is encouraged.

• Team player with a growth mindset and a genuine interest in building a long-term career in public accounting.
