Job Summary
As a Chat Moderator at blithequark, you will play a critical role in maintaining a positive and respectful online community. You will be responsible for moderating our Discord server, ensuring that all users adhere to our community guidelines and rules. This will involve:
- Deleting messages that violate our community guidelines and rules
- Banning users who repeatedly break our rules
- Muting users who have violated our rules
- Investigating reports made by users about potential rule violations
- Collaborating with our team to develop and implement community engagement strategies
Key Responsibilities
* Moderate our Discord server to ensure a positive and respectful community environment
- Enforce community guidelines and rules, deleting messages and banning users as necessary
- Investigate reports of potential rule violations and take appropriate action
- Collaborate with our team to develop and implement community engagement strategies
- Provide excellent customer service and support to our community members
- Stay up-to-date with our community guidelines and rules, and make recommendations for updates and improvements
Qualifications
* Must be 18 years of age or older
- Must have a High School Diploma or GED
- Excellent communication and conflict resolution skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks
- Familiarity with Discord and online community management tools
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
Preferred Qualifications
* Experience working in a community management or customer service role
- Familiarity with online community guidelines and rules
- Experience with conflict resolution and mediation
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
- Familiarity with social media platforms and online engagement strategies
