Primary Duties & Responsibilities

As an Experienced Customer Service Representative, you will be responsible for:

  • Heavy phone contact with policyholders, providers, and interested third parties to address their queries, concerns, and needs.
  • Processing policyholder requests from correspondence, phone calls, and emails in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Reviewing and maintaining new and revised procedures regarding policy information to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Maintaining department standards for number of calls, average handle time, and time management to ensure exceptional customer service.
  • Providing excellent communication, both written and oral, and organization skills to effectively resolve customer issues.
  • Maintaining confidentiality and handling sensitive information with discretion.
  • Demonstrating strong decision-making skills with the ability to analyze situations and make logical conclusions.
  • Working in a fast-paced environment with high stress levels, requiring calm and professional demeanor.

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent, with some college preferred.
  • At least one year of office experience, with telecommunications experience a plus.
  • Life and Health insurance background and knowledge of insurance operations desired.
  • Excellent customer service background and good phone skills.
  • Strong communication, both written and oral, and organization skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
  • Demonstrated mathematical abilities and basic PC skills.
  • Ability to type at least 30WPM.
  • Reliable and predictable attendance of your assigned shift.
  • Ability to work Full-Time and/or Part-Time based on the specific position for which you're applying.

Physical Requirements

As a remote work from home opportunity, you will need to:

  • Have a dedicated home office/room or quiet and designated space to work in.
  • Have a fire extinguisher in your home for safety purposes.
  • Have a smartphone and high-speed internet (20mbps upload) before starting work.
  • Be able to work 40-hour workweek with regular and predictable attendance.

  • Pay differential available for Bilingual employees (Eng/Span).
  • Reliable and predictable attendance of your assigned shift.
