As part of our Revenue Recovery Department, you will work closely with a team of registered nurses, coding professionals, and billing experts to ensure that our clients receive the maximum reimbursement possible.

Job Summary

As a Project Associate at blithequark, you will play a critical role in supporting our Revenue Recovery Department. Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Retrieving patient medical records from various Hospital systems
  • Generating and preparing patient itemized bills in appropriate formats for internal and external audits
  • Extracting and entering necessary information from/to Hospital patient accounting systems
  • Making phone calls to Post Acute Healthcare Facilities to obtain information needed on patients
  • Running and creating reports
  • Assisting with any other information gathering or data entry as needed by the recovery team
  • Scanning and indexing of documents

Key Responsibilities

* Project associate related duties, including: + Retrieving patient medical records from various Hospital systems + Generating and preparing patient itemized bills in appropriate formats for internal and external audits + Extracting and entering necessary information from/to Hospital patient accounting systems + Making phone calls to Post Acute Healthcare Facilities to obtain information needed on patients + Running and creating reports + Assisting with any other information gathering or data entry as needed by the recovery team + Scanning and indexing of documents

  • Data entry and record-keeping, including:

+ Accurately and efficiently entering data into Hospital patient accounting systems + Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of patient information + Identifying and resolving data discrepancies and errors

  • Communication and collaboration, including:

+ Making phone calls to Post Acute Healthcare Facilities to obtain information needed on patients + Collaborating with the recovery team to ensure accurate and timely completion of tasks + Providing excellent customer service to internal and external stakeholders

Essential Qualifications

* High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field preferred

  • 1-2 years of experience in a data entry or project support role, preferably in a healthcare setting
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion

Preferred Qualifications

* Experience working with Hospital patient accounting systems and medical records

  • Knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT coding systems
  • Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and compliance
  • Experience with data analysis and reporting
  • Certification in medical records or health information management (e.g. RHIT, RHIA)
