About the Role

As a Remote Call Center Customer Service Representative at blithequark, you will be the first point of contact for our clients seeking health insurance coverage. You will be responsible for answering inbound phone calls, providing information and assistance regarding health care insurance options, and updating customer and account information as needed. Key Responsibilities

  • Answer inbound phone calls to provide information and assistance regarding health care insurance options
  • Update customer and account information as needed
  • Update case records and notate purpose of call
  • Utilize multiple database applications as resources
  • Be open to feedback for continuous improvement and growth
  • Respond to general customer inquiries
  • Strive to meet performance metrics for continued professional growth opportunities

Requirements and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong background in customer service, preferably in a call center environment, and a minimum of one year of experience in healthcare-related customer service. You will also need to have excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to problem-solve, prioritize, and multi-task.

Essential Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; college attendance/degree is preferred
  • Minimum 1 year of Call Center experience
  • Minimum of 1 year of healthcare experience
  • Computer proficiency
  • Ability to learn and understand health insurance policy and terminology to provide the best solution to customers seeking assistance
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to engage and interact well with consumers and coworkers
  • Ability to problem-solve, prioritize, and multi-task (utilize multiple computer applications while talking to a consumer)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a remote call center environment
  • Knowledge of health insurance coverage and terminology
  • Experience with multiple database applications
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Training and Development

We are committed to providing our employees with the training and development they need to succeed in their roles. As a new Remote Call Center Customer Service Representative, you will participate in a comprehensive training program, which includes:

Training Program

  • 3 weeks of class training, Monday-Friday
  • 4 weeks of supervised call taking (nesting), Monday-Friday
  • Ongoing coaching and feedback to ensure your success
