The Role

As a Customer Service Representative, you'll be responsible for handling customer inquiries via telephone, email, and chat. You'll work with customers to:

  • Answer questions and provide information about travel itineraries, hotel reservations, rental car bookings, and flight schedules
  • Assist customers with changing travel plans, including cancellations, refunds, and rebooking
  • Resolve travel-related issues, such as lost luggage, flight delays, and hotel complaints
  • Provide customers with travel recommendations and suggestions
  • Process refunds and resolve payment-related issues
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including travel partners and suppliers, to resolve customer issues

Key Responsibilities

* Answer incoming calls and respond to customer inquiries in a timely and professional manner

  • Review customer history as necessary to provide personalized service
  • Follow policy and procedure guidelines to ensure consistency and accuracy
  • Help customers change travel plans, including cancellations, refunds, and rebooking
  • Provide or confirm customers' travel itinerary
  • Process refunds and resolve payment-related issues
  • Help customers solve travel issues, including lost luggage, flight delays, and hotel complaints
  • Place outbound calls to travel partners (hotels, rental car agencies, etc.) as necessary
  • Document information and outcomes as necessary

About You

To succeed as a Customer Service Representative, you'll need:

  • Prior customer service experience, preferably in the travel industry or a related field
  • Strong geographical knowledge, including an understanding of different time zones and travel regulations
  • Excellent customer service skills, including empathy, active listening, and problem-solving
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately in a fast-paced environment
  • Easy to work with, accepting feedback well and demonstrating a positive attitude
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with customers and internal teams
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to think critically and resolve complex issues
  • Self-directed, with the ability to work independently and proactively in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong typing skills and proficiency in using the internet and navigating multiple applications
  • Ability to work in a virtual environment, with minimal supervision and guidance

Technical Requirements

To perform the duties of a Customer Service Representative, you'll need:
