Key Responsibilities

As a Ticket/Gate Agent, you will be responsible for:

• Welcoming and assisting passengers at the gate and ticket counter, providing them with information and support as needed.
• Managing the check-in process, including printing boarding passes and handling baggage.
• Ensuring that passengers have the necessary travel documentation and comply with security regulations.
• Operating airport equipment, such as baggage scales and conveyor belts.
• Assisting passengers with special needs, such as unaccompanied minors and passengers with disabilities.
• Working effectively in a fast-paced environment, handling multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously.
• Providing excellent customer service, responding to passenger inquiries and resolving issues in a professional and courteous manner.

Essential Qualifications and Skills To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following essential qualifications and skills:

• A high school diploma or equivalent.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with passengers from diverse backgrounds.
• Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to respond to passenger inquiries and resolve issues effectively.
• The ability to work in a fast-paced environment, handling multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously.
• Basic computer skills, with the ability to operate airport equipment and software.
• The ability to lift and handle baggage, as well as stand for long periods.
• A valid government-issued ID and the ability to obtain any necessary security clearances.

Preferred Qualifications

While not essential, the following qualifications and skills are highly desirable:

• A degree from an accredited institution.
• Previous experience in customer service, preferably in the airline or travel industry.
• Knowledge of airport operations and procedures.
• Fluency in multiple languages.
