Responsibilities
As a Bookkeeping Software Customer Support Specialist – Remote, your primary responsibility will be to provide expert support to customers using accounting software, including QuickBooks Online and comparable accounting software. Your duties will include:
- Assisting customers with questions related to accounting software processes, ledger entry, navigation, and other troubleshooting needs
- Providing high-quality customer service over the phone in a virtual or "brick and mortar" call center environment
- Demonstrating expertise in bookkeeping and accounting practices, including AR, AP, journal entries, reconciliation, and other related areas
- Cross-selling relevant products while addressing customer concerns
- Taking ownership of customer issues and providing confident resolution
- Communicating with a friendly tone and professional demeanor

Earnings Potential
As a Bookkeeping Software Customer Support Specialist – Remote, you'll have the opportunity to earn up to $20.40 per hour. Contractors are guaranteed a minimum of 45 minutes for each hour if available for the full 60 minutes.

- Schedule available hours between 8 am and 8 pm CST, Monday – Friday
Skills Needed
To succeed in this role, you'll need:
- Proficiency in QuickBooks Online or comparable accounting software
- Bookkeeping/accounting expertise to include AR, AP, journal entries, reconciliation, and other related areas
- Customer service experience and demonstrated ability to deliver high-quality customer service over the phone in a virtual or "brick and mortar" call center environment
- Comfort with cross-selling relevant products while addressing customer concerns
- Strong ownership of customer issues in order to take control of the situation and provide confident resolution
- Tech savvy and avid computer user
- Communicate with a friendly tone and professional demeanor
Work Environment Requirements
To ensure your success as a Bookkeeping Software Customer Support Specialist – Remote, you'll need:
- Quiet, uninterrupted space
- Organized desk area
Technology Requirements
You'll need:
- Personal computer (no tablet)
- Broadband internet connection, at least 10 Mbps download speed
- Wired internet connection (no wi-fi or mobile internet)
- Windows 10 or Windows 11 operating system
- Valid antivirus software installed, running and up to date
- Wired USB headset with microphone
- Mac users: Mac acceptance is limited to Intel-based machines with Windows 11 installed via Apple's Boot Camp utility
- No VPN; computers may not connect to internet services through a private VPN during blithequark working time
Important Information
For this program, you must live and work from the United States, except CA, NY, PA, WA. We are currently unable to work with contractors residing in California, New York, Pennsylvania, or Washington. Contractors must also successfully pass a criminal background check.
Contractual Relationship
The relationship between you and blithequark is a contractual relationship. You will remain an independent contractor for the duration of this program assignment. blithequark will not be responsible for withholding taxes on your earnings while contracted with blithequark. When you receive your contract, you will be asked to agree to have no claim against blithequark hereunder or otherwise for vacation pay, sick leave, retirement benefits, Social Security, worker's compensation, health or disability benefits, overtime, unemployment insurance benefits or employee benefits of any kind.
