Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-focused Evening Specimen Processor – Data Entry – Part-Time to join our laboratory team in West Houston, TX. In this role, you will play a vital part in the patient care process by ensuring laboratory specimens are properly received and routed for testing. You will also be responsible for data entry, quality control, and championing safety and compliance in our laboratory environment.

Key Responsibilities

As an Evening Specimen Processor – Data Entry – Part-Time, your key responsibilities will include:

• Receiving and processing laboratory specimens in a timely and accurate manner
• Data entering lab requests, double-checking test orders, and recognizing when corrective action is needed
• Working in a laboratory environment with biological hazards and adhering to PPE requirements
• Championing safety, compliance, and quality control in our laboratory setting
• Providing exceptional patient care and support through accurate and efficient specimen processing

Essential Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Strong reading, writing, and analytical skills
• Typing proficiency, including 10-key
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a sense of urgency and attention to detail

Preferred Qualifications

While not required, we welcome candidates with:

• 2+ years of laboratory training or experience in specimen collection and processing
• Data entry experience in a production environment
