Your responsibilities will include handling customer inquiries with care, providing excellent service through active listening, and resolving issues proactively. You'll be expected to communicate effectively with customers, de-escalate issues when necessary, and track call-related information for auditing and reporting purposes.

Responsibilities

As a Mechanical Customer Service Expert, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Handling and carefully responding to all customer inquiries in a timely and professional manner
  • Providing excellent customer service through active listening, empathy, and a solutions-focused approach
  • Working with confidential customer information and treating it sensitively, adhering to blithequark's data protection policies
  • Aiming to resolve issues on the first call by being proactive and taking ownership of customer concerns
  • Appropriately communicating with customers, both verbally and in writing, to ensure clear understanding and resolution
  • Calmly attempting to resolve and de-escalate any issues that may arise, using effective conflict resolution techniques
  • Escalating interactions when necessary and appropriate, to ensure that customer concerns are addressed promptly and effectively
  • Tracking all call-related information for auditing and reporting purposes, to help improve customer service processes and outcomes
  • Providing feedback on call issues, to help identify areas for improvement and optimize customer service delivery

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you'll need to possess the following essential qualifications:

  • Ability to work remotely in a virtual team environment, with a strong internet connection and reliable computer equipment
  • 6 months of customer service experience, preferably in a mechanical or technical field
  • Over 18 years of age, with a valid government-issued ID
  • Ability to type 25 words per minute, with accuracy and speed
  • High School Graduate or GED, with a strong foundation in communication and problem-solving skills
  • Comfort with desktop computer systems, including Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office applications
  • Proven oral and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas and solutions clearly and concisely
  • Logical problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze situations and develop effective solutions
  • Ability to navigate Windows operating systems, with a strong understanding of computer hardware and software

Nice-to-Haves

While not essential, the following qualifications would be highly desirable:

  • Experience working in a mechanical or technical field, with a strong understanding of customer needs and preferences
  • Familiarity with customer relationship management (CRM) software and other technical tools
  • Certification in customer service, such as Certified Customer Service Representative (CCSR) or Certified Customer Service Manager (CCSM)
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with a strong ability to adapt to changing circumstances
