About the Job and Responsibilities

As a Remote Call Center Medical Collector, you will be responsible for providing top-notch customer service to patients, notifying them of outstanding account balances, and assisting them in finding solutions to meet their financial obligations. Your primary goal will be to make arrangements for payment of accounts in full, while also providing efficient and accurate account updates on our computer systems.

Your daily tasks will include making outbound calls and receiving inbound calls, using a sales and motivational approach to help patients understand and pay their recent medical bills. You will need to access, navigate, and interpret information within our clients' software, update account notes with every call, and frequently navigate multiple systems during the course of a single phone call.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Making outbound calls to patients to notify them of outstanding account balances and assist them in finding solutions to meet their financial obligations
  • Receiving inbound calls from patients and providing exceptional customer service to resolve their queries and concerns
  • Using a sales and motivational approach to help patients understand and pay their recent medical bills
  • Accessing, navigating, and interpreting information within our clients' software to update account notes and make informed decisions
  • Providing efficient and accurate account updates on our computer systems for each call made
  • Meeting and exceeding performance targets, including call volume, payment arrangements, and customer satisfaction

Qualifications and Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess excellent communication skills, a clear speaking voice, and the ability to talk and type at the same time. You should be a problem-solver with creative thinking skills, a drive to ensure customer satisfaction, and a strong desire to achieve goals.

  • 1 year of experience in a call center environment, preferably in medical billing or collections
  • 1 year of experience working remotely, with a proven track record of success
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and billing practices
  • Experience with software applications and technology, including CRM systems and dialer software
