Job Responsibilities

As a Housekeeping Professional, you'll be responsible for maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and presentation in our guest rooms and public areas. Your key responsibilities will include:

• Maintaining guest room cleanliness, including cleaning all bath/kitchen areas, floors, and removing all trash from guest rooms
• Maintaining outside room appearance, including cleaning sliding, A/C grill, doors, windows, and removing trash from surrounding outside areas
• Ensuring all areas of the hotel are up to company standards, even if specific areas are not assigned to you
• Visually inspecting guest rooms, public areas, service areas, etc. for quality in cleanliness and presentation
• Notifying supervisor immediately of any safety and/or security violations of policy, as well as any guest concerns
• Operating housekeeping equipment and keeping supplies ready by restocking housekeeping cart
• Notifying head housekeeper or supervisor of room readiness
• Maintaining superior customer service when interacting with guests

Skills and Experience

To be successful in this role, you'll need:

• Minimum 1-year housekeeping experience that includes possessing good knowledge of housekeeping/laundry standard operating procedures and techniques
• Any combination of education and experience equivalent to high school diploma
• Any other combination of education, training or experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities

Mental and Physical Demands

This role requires:

• Regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
• This position is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision depth perception and ability to adjust focus
• Indoor work with hard and carpeted surfaces
• Standing for eight (8) hour shifts
• Exposure to extreme weather conditions, cold and heat
